FRITZ SPIEGL

 

 

 

Fritz Spiegl (b.1926) studied flute at the Royal Academy of Music in London. From 1948-1963 he was principal flute in the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and later took up conducting.

 

From 1949 he was Conductor of the Liverpool Wind Ensemble and the Liverpool Singers. From 1951 Fritz Spiegl lectured at the Royal Manchester College of Music and became a BBC broadcaster on various subjects.
