Ernst Wilhelm Heinemeyer
Born in Hanover on 25th February 1827, he was the son
of Christian H. Heinemeyer(1796-1872), court musician. Ernst worked with his father in
the court orchestra in Hanover
from 1845 to 1847 and then went to St.
Petersburg to play in the Imperial Theatre Orchestra
for the next twelve years. He taught at the Theatre School
but he was pensioned out of the orchestra in 1859 almost certainly through
illness. He returned to Hanover and then in
1866 moved to Vienna
where he died on 12th
February 1869 aged 42.
