He won the Barlow Cup for composition at the Chester Music Festival eight
times between 1970 and 1990.
He studied briefly with the late Sir Lennox Berkeley.
His name has been entered in the international "Who's Who in Music"
since the 1980 edition.
John has resided in Prestatyn since 1970 and has been associated with Rhyl Music Club
for 20 years, where his music has often been performed.
His music has been heard in recitals in Manchester, Chester and at North Wales music clubs.
