Note regarding the Poohratorio (1976)
(Based on “The Expotition to the North Pole”)
This work, lasting 27 minutes, for voice(s) narrator, guitar and various other optional instruments, cannot be published until 2031, when the works of A.A. Milne become public domain, but I mention it here for information. The work has been performed in studio and notated ready for publication in 2031. The recording and score have been disseminated among friends for the attention of future generations.
(Meanwhile, the musical themes are being re-used for a string sextet and a set of Canticles (Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis) entitled Canticula Ursae Minoris (Canticles of the little bear, which is either Pooh Bear or the Little Dipper whose tail points to the Pole Star!)
