MP3s of two Greek folk songs with guitar accompaniment
Erinaki mou
Tria Paidia
These two performances of mine were recorded many years ago . . . .
"Erinaki mou" (My little Irene) is a dance-song, which, on the face of it, simply
praises wine: "wine drinkers lead the greatest life", but the singer asks - in parenthesis
- why his beloved Irene just sits and cries. I wonder . . . could it be obvious?
or am I reading too much into it?
"Tria Paidhia Voliotika" (three young men from Volos) - three young men have taken
our sweet Annoula away, up to the high mountain. Annoula, whom will you marry? I
love Giorgios and will marry him.
