David is a self-taught composer specialising in chamber and vocal music.

His emphasis is on melody and humour (although he can be serious!) and current projects include modern madrigals and songs for alto and guitar.

As a tonal and melodic composer he makes use of modes in addition to the usual major and minor variants, in particular Dorian, Octatonic and various Japanese scales.

He is also an amateur guitarist and one-man-choir. In his persona as the dwsChorale he has performed some works by members of the NWCA and by other living composers.

His music is published by Da Capo Music Ltd, Musik Fabrik, Productions d’Oz and Zimbel Press and also appears on MyScoreStore.
