Pratten Flutes

From about 1856 Boosey & Co.produced flutes to Pratten’s design. At first he modified the eight-key system keeping new keywork to a minimum.

Pratten made improvements to his flutes bringing out his Perfected Flute in about 1857 which had large tone holes, a cylindrical bore and up to seventeen keys. It found favour with a number of players and Boosey & Co. were still producing the model in 1900.
