The streets are part of a toy town, waiting to be played with,
tattered posters announcing exotic dreams.
A down-and-out wearing four days' growth and sans job
sits on a low wall.
Bundled women sit in the corner laundrette
Dreaming perhaps of white buildings
and boats on the flowing river
of another time.
